Speed limit while in the campground is 10km/hr
Quiet time is 11 pm. Please be considerate of your neighbours and keep noise to a reasonable level.
GENERATORS must be campground friendly and can be run from 9am to 10pm only. Generators must be kept within the gravel area of your camp site and not in the trees. Generator use is to be limited to a running time of 2 hours on and at least 1 hour off before running it again. Generators are not to be left running unattended.
Beach access is prohibited after 11 pm.
Fireworks are not permitted with Clearwater County bylaws. The only exception to this is the community fireworks put on by the Cow Lake Campground on Canada Day weekend.
Our main Gate is locked from 11 pm – 7 am daily for safety reasons, if you require access out or in between these times it will result in a $20 fee unless it is for a medical emergency. Make sure any guests who may be visiting later than 11 pm have moved their vehicle to the parking area outside the red gate.
We have onsite management 24/7 and is located in the cabin beside the main office and can be reached by calling the main office number at 403-845-5851 after the office is closed
Garbage Disposal
Please do not litter. We have provided several barrels for garbage and recycling deposal around the campground.
Yellow barrels are for garbage.
Blue barrels are for refundable containers (all proceeds go to our firework display on Canada Day Weekend)
Fish remains are to be disposed of in the fish cleaning station only.
Please us ashtray or fire pit to dispose of cigarette butts and sunflower seeds.
Please us the bear proof garbage containers where available
OHV/ATV
All ATV/OHV off road vehicles are forbidden within our campground.
You may trailer your off road vehicles in and out but the staging area is outside the main gate.
Anyone caught using these vehicles within the campground can and will be evicted.
Tobacco, Marijuana & Alcohol Use
Please remember Cow Lake Campground is a Public place.
Use Respect when using any and all items mentioned.
Pet Owners
Rules are strictly enforced, and any person with dogs caught disobeying will be evicted from their stalls without a refund.
All dogs must be on a leash, and in control.
Please clean up after your dog
Do not leave your dog unattended and keep the noise (barking) to a minimum.
Dogs are not allowed on the beach or waterfront. No dogs allowed on the Playground or grass area around the playground and volleyball court. Please watch for signs.
Forest Preservation
Park only in designated parking areas only.
Refrain from peeling bark, putting nails in or pouring hot liquid on the trees.
Do not carve on the trees or picnic tables.
Do not brake branches off the trees to make wiener sticks.
Parking, Boating & Camp site setup
All tents, trailers, wood and vehicles must be on the gravel area, not in the bush
Boat docking is included in camping fees. Non-Campers are welcome to the campground docks at a fee of $10 per entry. Monthly and seasonal passes are also available
Boat trailers should be parked in the public parking lot located on the northeast side of the campground
Extra vehicles must be parked in designated areas or the public parking lot. NO PARKING ALLOWED IN THE CAMPSITES THAT ARE NOT REGISTERED TO YOU.
Services
Fresh water is available to all campers free of charge located north of the office
Sani-dump is available on your way out at a charge of $10
Coin and token operated showers and laundry facilities are available to all campers. Tokens for showers only and loonies for laundry.
Wood ($15) and ice ($3) are available for purchase at the office from Sunday – Saturday during work hours.
CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT AND RESERVATIONS
Check-in time is 2pm
Check-out time is 11am extension can be requested at the office.
Please make reservations by either online or visiting our office during working hours.
Group sites require full payment for 3 units or 4 units depending on site, extra units will pay upon arrival. We charge a $10 booking fee per site if reservation is cancelled, and require 7 days notice to refund the remainder of your payment.
Single stalls are charged full price at the time of booking. We charge a $10 per site if a reservation is cancelled, and require 48 hours notice to refund you the remainder of your payment.
Make sure your departure date is correct upon checking in as no refunds will be given if you decide to check out early.
Regular Cancellation: Reservations cancelled 2 or more days in advance are charged a $10 cancellation fee, reservations cancelled less than 2 days in advance are non-refundable
Holiday Cancellation(Long Weekends etc.): Reservations cancelled 14 or more days in advance are charged a $10 cancellation fee, reservations cancelled less than 14 days in advance are non-refundable
All sleeping units must pay the nightly fee that is designate for that stall, with the exception of one tent for children under the age of 16.
We will start accepting online reservations for next year’s camping season March 1st
